This basement bathroom remodel project involved creating a contemporary and functional space, designed to maximize efficiency and aesthetics.
Preparation of the Plumbing and Drainage System: We began with the installation of a submersible wastewater pump, essential for proper drainage in underground spaces. In addition, preparation of the entire drainage system was carried out, including connections for the toilet, sink cabinet and shower.
Structure and Walls: Next, the wooden frame (framing) was built to establish the structure of the bathroom. Subsequently, drywall panels were installed on the walls and ceiling, and the shower surfaces were prepared with durock for greater moisture resistance.
Shower Waterproofing: A complete waterproofing system was applied, including a layer of waterproofing on the walls and base of the shower, ensuring that the space is completely waterproof.
Finishes: After initial preparation, paint was applied to the walls and ceiling. A specific wood frame was built for shower door installation, ensuring a perfect fit.
Ceramic and Floor Installation: Ceramic pieces were placed in the shower area, and LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring was installed in the rest of the bathroom, choosing high-quality materials for a durable and elegant finish.
Fixtures and Final Details: The cabinets and sink were installed, along with a mirror and proper lighting. A fan and power outlets were incorporated for added functionality and comfort. Additionally, shower head installations were completed and baseboards were added around the space for a polished finish. Finally, the glass shower door was installed, adding a modern touch and allowing the ceramic design to be visible.
Final Result: The result is a contemporary, elegant and fully functional bathroom that combines modern design with solid construction, offering the client a renovated basement space that meets all standards of quality and style.
