This project began with a detailed evaluation of the basement to determine the best layout of spaces, including a bedroom with closet, living room, bathroom, and access to the water heater. After verifying the space and designing the ideal layout, a specific and detailed estimate was developed for each stage of the process. Once approved by the client, the following phases proceeded:
1. Planning and Preparation: Purchase of materials: High quality materials are selected to guarantee durability and the desired finish. Framework: Wooden structures were manufactured and reinforced to delimit each space, such as the bathroom, bedroom, closet and living room.
2. Basic Facilities: Electricity: New electrical wiring was installed for lights, outlets and other devices, ensuring efficient and safe distribution. Plumbing: A sewage pump was installed to ensure proper drainage from the bathroom, shower and sink. Connections were also made for the plumbing of the shower, bathroom and the shower valve.
3. Construction and Finishes: Drywall: Sheets of drywall were installed on the walls and ceilings, which were finished and sanded to achieve a paint-ready surface. Shower preparation: A liner base covered with concrete was installed. Durock sheets were placed on the walls of the shower. A layer of waterproofing was applied to ensure proper and long-lasting operation. Paint: Paint was applied to all areas, achieving a modern and clean environment.
4. Floor and Wall Installations: Ceramic: Ceramic was installed in the shower, with a design that combines functionality and aesthetics. LVP Flooring: Luxury vinyl flooring (LVP) was installed throughout the basement, offering a durable and elegant finish.
5. Lighting and Accessories: Electrical connections were made to install can light lights in the bathroom, living room and bedroom. String lights were added in the closet and water heater access area.
6. Final Finishes: Baseboards: Molding was installed in all areas for a professional finish. Bathroom accessories: The cabinet, mirror, lights and air extractor (fan) were installed. Shower: A sliding glass door designed for the space was installed. Toilet and doors: The required doors were placed in the bathroom, bedroom and closets. Bottom line: The basement was transformed into a completely functional and modern space, with a design designed to optimize every corner. The bathroom and shower stand out for their elegance and functionality, while the living room and bedroom offer a cozy and practical atmosphere, all with high-quality finishes that exceeded the client's expectations.
