Remodel Project: Fireplace Siding Replacement The project began with a detailed inspection of the area to assess the condition of the existing coating and plan any necessary repairs. After agreeing a specific estimate with the client, we proceeded with the complete removal of the damaged Siding around the chimney, making sure to remove any compromised or deteriorated material.
Subsequently, extensive surface preparation was carried out, including review and repair of the underlying structure to ensure solid and level support. Any damage to the wood frame was repaired and a moisture barrier layer was applied to protect against future leaks.
The new siding installed was James Hardie, known for its durability, resistance to the elements and low maintenance. This material not only improves a esthetics but, also provides greater protection against moisture and fire. The HardiePlank panels were carefully installed, ensuring a precise fit and sealing all studs for a clean, professional finish.
Once the installation of the new siding was completed, is ready for painting.
